A young Gray Fox–being chased by dogs–was rescued by two walkers who brought her to Native Animal Rescue. The fox’s eyes were an unearthly shade of blue. The veterinarian prescribed daily eyedrops to clear up the fox’s eyes. The treatment was a success, and she was returned to a life in the wild.
It’s baby season at Native Animal Rescue, and we’re up to our elbows in hungry baby birds that require feeding as often as every 30 minutes during the day.
A young Great-Horned owl that had fallen to the ground was returned to its nest by rescuers from Native Animal Rescue. Eight people including three dispatchers, several NAR volunteers, and one arborist were the heroes of this story.
Two young hungry Acorn Woodpeckers are being fed by a Native Animal Rescue volunteer. Before they can be released, they must be able to feed themselves. One of them has learned how, and the other isn’t quite ready.
